Charlotte County Public Schools boasts a competitive compensation package* for employees. The Wellness Center provides no-cost preventative care, low-cost acute care appointments, behavioral health services, and prescription dispensing for select prescriptions at no additional cost! MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS*:

Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. To perform this job successfully, the incumbent will possess the abilities or aptitudes to perform each duty successfully. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:
• Five (5) years of teaching experience, three (3) of which must be with CCPS
• Clinical Ed training or willingness to complete within one (1) year
• Working knowledge of New Educator Training program requirements

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
• Certification in Elementary Education or Secondary Core Area (ELA, Reading, Math, Social Studies, and/or Science)
• Reading and ESOL Endorsements or willingness to complete within three (3) years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Master’s degree

*Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. These statements are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities

required of all personnel within this position.

1. Models effective instruction.
2. Serves as the professional development coordinator and provides needed resources for all staff at the school site.
3. Provides collegial and technical support to staff on curriculum, instructional resources and strategies.
4. Attends Lead Teacher meetings and disseminates to staff.
5. Serves as “lead learner” at the school site.
6. Provides assistance for school site NET and Coaching, Assisting & Supporting Teachers (CAST) programs.
7. Facilitates the use of data for increased student achievement.
8. Assists with the development, implementation, and monitoring of the School improvement Plan.
9. Serves as a resource to PPC meetings to provide curriculum and instruction knowledge when requested.
10. Serves as a member of the MTSS Team.
11. Assists with coordinating testing.
